    Sewing machine arrived.

    All 100+ pounds of it.

UPS guy wanted to know what the heck was in that box...

I told him an industrial sewing machine... We ended up having a cool conversation about ultralights and paragliders. (Sewing machines used to make the cloth portions of said aircraft)

Apparently, there is this HUGE pent up demand for people that can sew sailcloth and glider materials around here. He kinda hinted that I should maybe think about the extreme sports market.

Right now, baby steps. Work on getting a table and motor. And finishing school. I have the means to get ahead finally.

Congrats Dread.... I, for one, am looking forward to the cool things your going to produce with this!

Oh, and MacWage, I might need your help with this thing. Setting it up, etc, etc, etc.

Still in the box. Haven't opened it.

    It weighs a ton.

    Congratulations on your acquisition!

Don't know about sailing or gliding, but a good parachute rigger is worth his weight in gold. However, the training and certification is arduous and costly. Have a look here: http://www.usapr.com/ (especially that "pledge" part. )

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your machine all set up and of you using it soon.
