ahh...very simple...the leader of the early celts convinced the common folk that there was a rare single malt whisky burried deep within the blue stone...and it could only be extracted if the stone was moved to where it currently resides and a great many rituals were performed. A massive search for the rare whisky stone ensued.
I am sure it made for quick work.
