    WPG kilt arrived

The WPG Black Watch kilt I ordered came today. I'll try to get a pic posted soon. This thing is a beauty. Well worth the money and plenty heavy and warm.

Toldja! The cost of a WPG klt is well worth it, and you'll not find a better bargain.

Can't wait to see the pix!

What Price Glory--sells replica military uniforms.

they have some very nice kilts in the Scottish section in a 22 oz (!) WW I replice wool for about 300 bucks! Very heavy, and you can't beat the price. Only problem is that they look kind of tacky in the pictures and they're very heavy wool. Great in the coole weather, but a little warm in the summer.

This is my second WPG kilt so I had a good idea what to expect. My other one is the Cameron. These beasts are fantastic winter kilts.

I've looked at WPG kilts on the net a couple of times and didn't like the look of the fabric. Is it in fact good kilt quality cloth or horse blanket?

Blu, it isn't the same as the worsted wool in civilian kilts, but not harsh enough for a horse blanket. It's a little fuzzy and very heavy. Personally, I don't think you'd care for them but for those of us that wear our kilts all the time, even in the coldest weather, these things are great. They are, after all, reproductions of the older military kilts, not the dressier civilian kilts.
