That is why I bought the Sportster that I did. It's very similar to my old Triumph & BSA bikes, or a UJM (universal Japanese motorcycle), in the riding position. My Vulcan 800A was very much a "cruiser" style riding position, complete with forward controls. I discovered that I didn't enjoy riding like that all the time. My Sporty has nice low bars and standard controls. Much better!

I have a Vulcan 800B - and for me, it's great to ride! (After way too many years jumping out of perfectly good airplanes and helicopters, my knees appreciate the forward controls.)
I guess that's why they make so many different models - so they can account for all the different needs and preferences!

I tried the Vulcans back in '98, and ended up buying a new Suzuki 800 Intruder. It's 30,000 miles older now, but I still love it. I'll have to dig around for a pic somewhere.

I'm ready to move up to the Vulcan 1600 (except my wallet doesn't agree).
It's tough having so many addictions... kilts, bikes, In-N-Out Burgers (too many of which then make one need larger kilts)...

Here's my "witto twuck", AND my very first attempt at posting a picture:

It's my 1998 Toyota Tacoma. Gets 30 mpg highway with the 4-banger, 5-speed stick. Used to haul a small ski boat with it without difficulty.
Too bad the new Toy. trucks have gotten so big now.

Here's mine. The 2002 Dakota. I call it "The Kiltin Dodge" because of the personalized tag.

My prefered ride...

We have a Renault Laguna GranTour and a Renault Twingo, but I never bothered taking pictures of them...I'm not really a car fan.

I'm up fer a sprint into town or country!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

I am (partly) with you on this Robin! I have always owned Renaults and my current one is a Renault Clio Expression - 2006 model - but the only photo I have showing it was taken last August, when it was new:

and is hardly worth posting considering this thread is about "rides"!!
Like you, I am not a car fan either - didn't learn to drive until I was almost 30 - and cannot tell the make a car is unless I can read its logo! As long as my cars have six wheels (one at each corner, a spare in the boot/trunk, and one inside that I can steer with), that's all I care about.
