    A turpin convertible for a lucky X-Marker

I learn something new each time I make one of these, which helps me to refine them as I go. This one's going to one of y'all out there. He picked his own color scheme. Black deerskin with brown gusset, red and black flaps.

A little detail on the tassels. Dyed antler and horsehair. Special request.

Nice work Turpin. I think I'd prefer a soft sporran, I know I'd appreciate the versatility of the exchangeable flaps.

I'll let him reveal himself if he wants to. Some folks prefer that.

Ok the jonesing is almost over. I paypaled Turpin tonight and I am going to be wearing that with my Buchannan Tartan made by Geoffery (Tailor) Kilt. The black Flap is for the SWK shadow tartan. I also just got told last night that my brother got me a set of pipes made in Scotland at an estate sale in Houston. He had them looked at and the only thing bad about them is they need new reeds. Shucky Darn now I am going to have to have to learn to play them?? I know there are instructors in Salt Lake now do I have to get a chanter?
    This Celtic thing is steamrolling.:crap:
Should I get off the Carosel?

    I'm not dead yet!!!!

    MrBill

PS. I also got a sporran strap.

I know the answer to this one: Yep, you need a chanter!

Get one of the really good ones in delrin, a Duncan or a reputable person like that. Your instructor can lead you on that.

Good luck. And don't worry about the lungs, it's your jaws and lips that'll get you at first!
