Opportunity for Dallas Kilt Wearing!
I just found out about your site (from a man in a kilt!) at the North Texas Irish Festival.
I was telling him about our Dallas area event for Texas Tartan Day.
I am organizing a day out at the ballgame on Friday, April 6th to celebrate Texas Tartan Day with The Frisco Rough Riders. The game is at 7pm and group tickets are available (info below). We have an excellent piper who will play "Take me out to the Ballpark" for the 7th inning stretch. And stay for fireworks after the game!
So bring your friends and family and wear your kilt! Group tix (bullpen $10, home plate seats $15) are available in blocks of 20. Call James McDonald at the Texas Rough Riders for more info at 972.334.1957 or email at jmcdonald@ridersbaseball.com
It might be fun to meet up at a pub beforehand if anyone has the desire!

Appreciate the welcome!
Thanks! I am a wee bit disappointed about the (entire lack of) response to my posting on the "Kilt Events" thread. Seems most everyone wants to go pubbing, which I guess is more the norm for a kilt event. But are kilt wearers a little beyond normal and looking for new opportunites to show their love of heritage and fine fashion sense at new and different fun places!? How about seeing a baseball game where "Take Me out to the Ballpark" is played on the pipes for the 7th inning stretch, the Scots and Tartans get a sal-lute on the jumbotron, and fireworks ignite at the end of the evening. Sounds good to me!!! Who's in?!!
BTW... Thanks for the welcome, guys. I am coming down off my soapbox...

James,
In my case, it's not lack of interest in the ball game or other venues . . . I have previous commitments for April 6, since this year it happens to fall on Good Friday.
