Billy, As you say, both Ron and I have USA Kilts' Prince of Wales tartan kilts, and both are pleated to the sett, which I personally like very much. I have had a look at the actual kilt and roughly laid it out as if it were pleated to the white stripes and, to be honest, I think it would result in there being too great a contrast between the pleated section and the aprons. Fine if you don't mind that effect, but I don't think I would care for it at all. The choice is ultimately yours however!
