Looks great KcFP. The only detractor was the length of the jacket, but since you just went with the jacket and vest from your trousered rig, you will be forgiven!
I do think that the vest by itself with kilt and boots looks great!

yeah the length of the jacket kinda sucked, but it looked ok for as long as I wore it( which was while I was outside in the cold wind, then as I piped them in) after that it was gone!
now that I wore a waist coat with it...me thinks a trip to the second hand store is in order to look for one that goes well with the colors that I have in my kilts.....my kilt belt doesnt fit as well as it used to.......

I'd say the whole thing looks great. Considering the setting, even the jacket looks okay. Think I kind of like the cowboy hat and the pipes, sort of multicultural. Good going.

Can any one share what tartan he is wearing?
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

You look really good, KFP.
I don't think I'd wear a cowboy hat or boots with a kilt, but that's only because I live in Boston. Anyone wearing a cowboy hat around here gets as many odd looks as I do in a kilt. If I lived in Texas I'd certainly combine western wear with a kilt, just as I combine other non-traditional items with kilts now.

I never thought of wearing my lace up ropers with my kilt, but it looks rather good. Mine are brown, so it'll be a nice change from the normal black boots I wear. Nice piccies!

Fascinating combination - you certainly pulled it off well! Maybe you need to change your handle to Mcurban Cowboy!
