Smile A good start to the week ...

Kiltwise, at least. Work has been a different matter, but that's neither here nor there.
Monday after work I stopped by the apartment office to pick up two packages. One was the olive green kilt socks I ordered from Sierra Trading Post. The second was an order from Duluth Trading Company, which included a few long-tail shirts for kilt-wear and one of their washable wool sweaters (looks good with the Sackett kilt). Then I stop at my mailbox and find out I have three more packages waiting at the Post Office.
Today after work I stopped there to pick up those packages. I now have 4 yards of double-width American Heritage tartan and a pair of kilt hose from USAKilts, and two tartan wool travel blankets off of eBay. Material for three more kilts!

I hope the rest of the week goes this well.

Oh, man, have you got the addiction bad! Five packages in two days! (A true kindred spirit.)

Is this the tartan you will be using in your June workshop?

I also acquired 4 yards of this exquisite fabric. Now, to find the time to squeeze in a kilt (or two or three) amongst the home rebuilding/improvement projects...

I've considered getting one of those long-tails in the past. How far down do they go on you?

    Best regards,

That's the plan. The American Heritage resembles (to my eye) the tartan in "Tunes of Glory," and I want a kilt that looks like those. Plus, it also goes perfectly with my Customs dress uniform (not that I'll probably ever wear the two together, but the thought's been in the back of my head since seeing a kilted Border Patrol honor guard five years ago).

At six foot and skinny, the shirts hang down an inch or so past my crotch.
(There's a sentence that will probably get me in trouble with the mods, but it's the most descriptive I could get without )
