My new sgian
My new jones. I'm waiting for it in the mail and wondering if any of you have delt with this guy and how are his goods? It was only $30 after shipping and all so even if I screw it up using it I aint too worried. I only got it to use as a "working" sgian

It looks great - I'd be interested to hear what you think of it once it arrives!

Looks good to me. The knife nerds will probably find fault with it.

I don't care, I'm getting it to replace my cold steel braveheart. I just don't like the way the handle on it looks poking from the hose and the blade is rather thin to me. I hope this one fills the bill of what I'm looking for but at $30 total I'll just have another knife as I'm a knife junkie anyways.

Looks pretty nice. Ditto what BobC said, but for 30 bucks, who gives a rip.
Let us know how things work out. And congrats on a good looking sgian.

Ok knife. It is Pakistani. Some don't like **** steel, but I've made alot of money over the years by selling **** steel. The important thing is do YOU like it. Once it's in your hands. play with it. How's the heft? Does it feel sturdy? If YOU like it, that's all that matters. So what if it's not the greatest steel in the world, I mean it's only a sock knife. It is only a ceremonial part of your outfit right? Or do you want a REAL weapon? Simple questions that only you can answer.

I don't know if I qualify for the august title of Knife Nerd, but I'd immediately take a knife to it, and dress up the basketweave a bit (actually, a lot); for $30 it looks like it's got real potential. Anyway, as others have alluded to, who cares what I think, as long as you're happy with it.

I'm certainly not a knife nerd, but I think it looks great. My only complaint with it is that the carving is on the "wrong" side of the handle, unless you wear it in your left sock. I like wearing my sgian dubh with the blade toward the rear, so that when I reach down and draw it I'm holding it correctly. If you wore this one with the carving facing out you'd have to turn it around in your hand when you draw it.
Still, like the others have said, it's a great deal for $30.
Andrew.
