As I said to Joseph, there was misunderstanding, partly because Celtic Crofts's preference is to order online (naturally). However I had difficulty with the online process not working as it should, I resorted to phonecalls to clarify details. This, I have found in business, can be troublesome since there is no written record of what is said.
I probably assumed some details would be as I wanted based on the several casuals I already own.
Celtic Croft make their kilts differently.

Anyway, the important thing is that Joseph has been really generous in offering to alter the kilt to the way I prefer it. I have been in the same position in my business when a customer is dissatisfied, so I respect CC for this.

As far as the tartan, the colours and the set, I guess it's all personal preference, I like them all myself. It is intended to look rather more rustic than a formal kilt. It is the kind of tartan I imagine would look good on Albannach band members!!

    Graham:

I've often found it useful to follow up phone calls with an e-mail going over what we'd discussed. Maybe it's an excess of caution on my part, but I've found that it's a good idea--for me at least. (Don't ask me how I know!)
