BLAZN's trip to Tempe, AZ Tilted Kilt
Sadly, I only have one shot.
Some miscommunication resulted in my telling the rest of the Rabble to meet up at the Scottsdale, AZ Tilted Kilt. It was supposed to be the Tempe Tilted Kilt. I would have went ahead to the Scottsdale TK, but I was originally in Phoenix to visit Rennies... my apologies, but the Rennies won over the Rabble. You will see, though, that I represented the rabble, still!
The kilt: SWK Hunting MacLeod Standard
The shirt: Umm... duh!
The sporran: Made by me, from suede.
The ladies: Meagan and Serenity

Guinness and lovely waitresses will help a man like myself get over not meeting up with fellow kilties.

Yes, those are Sport Kilt kilts. I looked at their kilts a lot. They all had a "terrible" habit of reaching over tables.
One of the guys I was hanging with lifted the lady to my left (Serenity) and the rest of us had a WONDERFUL view. ;)
I neglected to mention... I was the ONLY kilted GUY in the place. I was quite the hit, too. Every time I had to walk through the main part of the resteraunt, it seemed like all eyes were on me. I KNOW several ladies (customers and waitresses alike) rather enjoyed watching me.

Hey, since we didn't get the chance to meet, thanks for posting the pic, Jim.
Looks & sounds like you had yourself a good time. I'm sure you enjoyed our lovely weather.
Let us know if you head out this way again...

Aye, sorry to miss you too.
We made the games on Sat but then boogied on up to Payson for the night.
SportKilt...jeez..that's sad. The kilts I saw at the Tilted Kilt at the Rio in Las Vegas seemed home made.
Its all a franchise operation though so suppose each owner just does the best that he can.
If they're gonna be buying SportKilts then they should buy a stack of them and insist that all gentlemen wear them...like some places keep ties and jackets for those who show up without them where required.
One guy in a kilt at a Tilted Kilt...blastphemy.

I'm sure he just finished blotting away the tears and put on a brave face before the pic was snapped... (or not)

We (the wife and myself) found out a week after we were in Phoenix that one of the Celtic bands we'd like to see was at the Phoenix Highland Games. We ended up leaving the Faire pretty early, so we could have went to the Games. Hind sight is always 20/20.

I thought so. I really wish I would have known that the Rennies I was supposed to meet were going to the Tempe TK... I would have thoroughly enjoyed the rabble!
