PS: Jay, how was the movie.
If I wear my tartan, I wear a jacket, and dress shoes, and my horse hair sporran. A gentlemans ensamble if that is the correct way to word it. With my utilikilt, leather jacket, and seasoned desert combat footwear, I thought it more of a casual/rugged look. I think I remember a note about Scots wearing a canvas wrap around their kilt during the great war, if I can make the analogy.
The movie was awesome, and I agree on two other notes, that the nude scenes were quite unnecessary, and the battle scene for the Kings body would have been an awesome addition to the movie. I watched the History channel version tonight (10 March) with the chidlren and that was almost as good as 300

Last time I wore a kilt to the movies I was followed by the security folks. Don't know what they thought they were doing or why; but they soon lost interest. I still don't understand why wearing kilt should be an issue.

I just got back from seeing 300 and it was an awesome movie, my Wife even liked it, as did my Sister and my Dad. I can't say it enough, it was an AWESOME movie.
I wore my Black UK, Doc's and Jean Jacket to see the movie, earlier this week I got my hair cut to a Mohawk, so I suited seeing this movie . Like everytime I go somewhere Kilted I always expect trouble (which never happens), no weird looks, or comments. When we were walking through the parking lot after the movie, my Wife says "Everyone likes your Kilt". I'm like "Who likes it?", shes says "Everyone" and points to a group of guys standing outside having a smoke, "They saw your Kilt and can't stop talking about how good it looks and how much they want one". How cool is that, everytime I expect trouble, life keeps surprising me.
(Go see 300).

Kilted at the 300
GOOD DAY, I also saw the 300 on Fri. night, the various theaters were packed. I too really enjoyed the film, I thought the various film speeds during the battles was a nice effect.
I wore my SWK Leatherneck and had a couple early teenage boys asked me were could they get one, told them to check out SWK web site. Maybe new converts, can only hope.
THANKS Wes
