Kilt No. 74 is delivered!
What an unexpected pleasure is was to receive my 74th kilt in the post yesterday morning! Unexpected because it took The House of Edgar only two weeks to make the delivery to me - two weeks after I confirmed my order to 'La Maison du Kilt' in Paris, France. This must be one of the fastest completions of a bespoke, tailor-made traditional kilt in my 'Kollection', and it is truly beautiful.
The tartan? Oh, yes, it is another regional Breton tartan. Of course, I already have the 'Breton National' and the 'Randonnée Bretonne' (Brittany Walking) tartans, and this new kilt is in the 'Bro-Leon' tartan from the area of Brittany around Cap Finisterre - the most westerly part of France. In my opinion, this is a stunningly beautiful combination of colours in a fine design. See for yourselves:
The flashes I am wearing in these photos are not ideal for this kilt but they are the closest I have until I can find time to make some from a sample piece of the tartan I have in my possession.

Hamish it is beautiful. Also, I have been meaning to ask you. I see that Mel Gibsons kilt, that he wore in the movie braveheart was bought at auction the other night for a substantial sum. It was you wasnt it?

Hamish,
The gold and blue is so striking on the 'Bro-Leon' tartan. Your daywear ensemble with the blue shirt is grand (as is expected of course). I hope you try this kilt with formalwear. It certainly is that handsome and rich looking.
A worthy addition to your "kollection".
Cheers

Wonderful colours Hamish, I'm intriqued by the kilt pin too, it sort've has a Brittany look to it.
One thing missing though and that is the "Hamish MkII". What gives?

Now that is a nice kilt. I really like that tartan. It looks absolutely great. Number 74 you say. Well I can see that I have a long long way to go. I'm only on number 5.

Another beauty!
Such an elegant tartan.
