wouldn't it be funny to investigate a little and find out if the big wig at the big employer were Scottish or Irish in decent,
then have a little chat with them and see if they might attend in a Kilt.

can you imagine the look on your bosses face.

    Ron,

Based on some of the advise you've been given, I look forward to seeing you on the TV news.

Probably should add that Arizona is a Right to Work state...despite how that sounds, what it means is any employer can fire any employee, at any time, for any reason.

So, there's nothing legal to stand on.

Showing up kilted on Tuesday would clearly be insubordination and not a wise choice.

Since the only request to wear pants is only for Tuesday - and I do hope someone from the entourage says, "Hey, where's your kilt buddy?" - and I have the okay to wear a kilt on Wed and thereafter until a dress code is developed, I'm planning on wearing kilts daily and hoping for a chance to give input on the dress code in the course of its development.

Thanks for all the support and ideas.

Trying to keep a simple focus...something like, If women are allowed to chose between pants and skirts why aren't men allowed the same choice?

Still, I'm liking the idea of trews. McLeod of Lewis, oh and Buccanan. For you heritage of course. Another silent protest is just gawdy, uncoordinated outfits.

Call in sick on Tuesday. If they ask what is wrong, tell them "projectile diarrhea" to keep them from asking any further questions.

Or just make up a traumatic encounter with a zipper. After YEARS of not wearing any pants, you forgot how zippers worked, and had to go be patched up.

Er, there is no garment more suitable for fornication and diarrhea. Some General said that. I forget who.

    That's an option Dread.

But I'm guessing showing up in pants will cause more of a stir, from peers at least, and hopefully folks will miss the kilts and say so. Or express relief that the two years of "disruption" is over.

    Guess I'll find out.

Rocky, we need you to make Ron some PV trews. In the loudest, most obnoxious, most eye bleeding colours you can summon.

Best of luck Ron, i hope it all works out for the best. What about if somebody started a petition at work on your behalf, requesting the retention of you in a kilt. Will the CEO not put pressure on this mis-informed HR thug?
