You should visit the Scots of North Carolina, too. There are parts of the USA that only stopped being Gaelic-speaking just before the First World War.

from the Scottish Borders.
I was in Glasgow yesterday, kilted of course in Teviotdale District tartan.
I'm originally from Paisley, though I attended Glasgow University and my wife Ann is from Glasgow.
The Borders here receives much less rainfall than does Glagsow.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.
