    Gordon Duncan - The Greatest

Ive decided to start a thread on Gordon Duncan, recognised as the finest piper ever to pick up a set of pipes, theres a series of links about him, his playing is just incredible and paved the way for bands like RHCpipers (Stuart Cassels was one of Gordons students) and Wicked timkers ets. he was slated by traditionalists for his use of F and C naturals and non traditional tunes despite winning almost every traditional competition going. renown for his incredible speed and expression he was a genius
tragically Gordon took his own life at the age of 41 in Dec 2005

Great to hear from you again, Daz!
Thanks for starting this thread. I'm new to piping, and I only heard of Gordon Duncan on the first anniversary of his death. Thanks for the youtube link; it was good to actually see him play.
    Welcome back!

I started this thread the day I heard that Gordon died.

It was a shock then, and seems even more of a tragedy now.
    The tradition continues!
