    But you can probably read music. I played the trombone in HS band, but didn't know how to read music, I put a number over each note and knew the position to play.

    My dad can pick up any instrument and play it. He'll ask how a song goes, and then just play it. I should ask if he ever tried a bag pipe.

    That's kinda funny. I played trumpet for 8 years but couldn't really read music either - I just played what I heard everybody else playing. Bridget from Flogging Molly(their fiddle player) can't read music either but she's amazing.

    If all it too to play pipes was wearing a kilt, would 18 kilts make me a pipe major ???

    At 74+ kilts would that make Hamish an entire pipe band?
