So it's looking like I'll be sewing up an X-Kilt for a Filipeno guy in my brothers punk band and I'm wanting to do somthing that has a Filipeno feel to it. I'm kinda at a loss for ideas, ANYONE got any I could borrow?
Maybe a palm Tree applique somewhere on the apron? Maybe colors found in the PI flag?
It don't mean a thing, if you aint got that swing!! 'S Rioghal Mo Dhream - a child of the mist
Maybe a solid color kilt, with some Phillipeno type of decoration on the apron (the way the USA Kilts logo is applied on the casuals?)
You could decorate a solid with something like the geometric tattoos they wear, maybe around the bottom or in the pleat (PK style). good luck, Doc
My idea would be a Solid colour Kilt with a Filipino Flag Patch on it. I'll ask my Wife when she gets home what would look good, she's Filipina.

My Wife came up with the idea of doing the Kilt multi-coloured like the Filipino flag. You could do the front apron White with the Stars, and the back pleats Half Blue and Half Red. That's just a thought.
That would look cool. Doc
Was it Pittsburgh Kilts that used to do the two-color pleats? (I hate to say it, but kind of like cheerleader skirts is the only way I can think to describe it.) I'm not sure how you'd do that - but it would probably look really cool if you could get it to come out right! A shot of the two-tone (black over flames) And a picture of Ron in a three-tone!

What if you get enough fabric of the Sarong type of fabric, and make a Kilt out of it? I bet that would look cool.
