Police tracking leads in case of missing Norwich teen
Published: Friday, March 16, 2007
Norwich police today say they are looking for someone who may have last been seen with 16-year-old James Holley, who was last seen Feb. 28 at a New Hampshire convenience store.
Police said Holley left his home in Norwich at about 8 a.m. on Feb. 28 and walked to the Food Stop, about a 2 mile walk, to a Food Stop near downtown Hanover, N.H. The teenager was reportedly last seen with a someone named Ian, said Norwich Police Sgt. Michael McGee.
McGee said officers are searching for Ian, who has not yet been identified, and are studying all of the store's gas and sales receipts from that day.
Police, family and community volunteers have been searching for Holley since his disappearance. Holley is described as being about 6-feet-1-inch tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has blue eyes and a forehead scar. He was last seen wearing a green and red plaid Scottish kilt, a dark brown sweater and low-cut hiking shoes.
Anyone with information on the missing teen should notify the Norwich Police Department at 649-1460.

I wonder if this might not have been a hate crime. Sort of a 'beat the ....... in the skirt' type thing.
I hope he turns up somewhere safe and sound, but I cant explain what would make a 17 unable to come or call home if he wanted to.

Reading this reply made me sad.
I've had people try to do this to me, for exactly this reason. I've lost a tooth because of this, and have been beaten badly. I gave as good as I got, but not everybody can do that.
I really hope the boy turns up safe and sound.
People are so hateful.

I'm thinking more along the lines of drugs and youth gangs. There's hardly a square inch of municipal footprint left in North America that isn't covered by young ruffians.

FAS perhaps. Then again, the way I've seen some adults treat their own kids it's pretty shameful.
