Hmmm... I can't throw heavy weights - don't drink - ought not dance - dare not sail - which of those bagpipe thingies does one blow into? - don't use sharp things bigger than a needle and scissors - hmmm.... I guess the only things I can contribute or trade is a little bit of kiltmaking now and then, or hang out at the games and cheer on the others.
Actually, the friendships, comraderie, and support in this Nor-Cal group continues to be a valuable thing in my life. Other X-Marks members visiting this corner of the world also bring their own "sparkle."

Thanks for including me in the No. Cal. rabble. I regret that I can't make it to the Devil's Canyon gathering very often (going to miss this one too ), but I take pride in our association.
Best regards,
Jake

As an interested bystander, have you considered darts? Not a good plan for me, but it might work for you if any of the other NoCal XMarkers have that particular vice.

Thanks for the invite. The rehearsal dinner is on the 30th the wedding on the 31 and we're headed back to Spokane on the 1st. But we'll be back to the Sacramento area in the summer.

I dunno... If the others get wind that I started throwing really heavy, needle-sharp obects about, they might UN-invite me to their gatherings. However, many thanks for your suggestion.
(Maybe knitting... how much damage can that do?)
Wait a minute! I have my own empty, 21-foot, steel-clad "barn." A dart board may be perfect.
