Just a quick note - I'm wearing my new sporran at work today - its the first "soft" sporran I've ever owned. My others are the usual hard sporrans with tassles. Now here's an odd little thing, when I walk wearing this sporran there's no rappity-tappity little drum band following my every step. I feel quite stealthy. Its funny what you notice - huh?

How about a pic of the pouch in action? Holds a good bit, doesn't it?

Will do - of course the ever prepared photo instructor left his camera at home today... maybe tomorrow?

It DOES look great. Any chance of getting a pattern, so the rest of us can give it a try?

FWIW - I like the button. I wouldn't like antler as much. Just a personal preference.

Phil, excellent stitching job and the blue stain is perfect...and I think I prefer the simplicity of the top flap (meaning no trim work)

Here is a pic of Turpin & kids and myself with the hand stitched sporran he helped me make for St. Paddy's Day!

Mine is a mix of Moose hide and Deer.

PS~if you add a bit of stain to the flap "button", then lightly wipe off, it should turn it the same bronzy color of the rivets.

    Slainte mhor!

Thanks for all the kind words folks - as promised, here's a photo of me wearing the sporran.
