Like others said, ease her into it. My wife still thinks that the kilts are only for certain ocassions but it's gotten to the point that if I ask her about wearing a kilt to dinner or church she says, "If you really want to." This is coming a long way from, "No, you'll embarrass me." Dress it up a little the first few times so that she can see that the kilt is a dignified man's garment. first a belated welcome from North Dakota.
As the others on this forum have said, ease into things gradually. Your wife is probably not used to seeing kilts up close and personal, she needs to become acclimatized. Set a date for May 4, 2007 for the Triad Highland Games at Bryan Park. Come the day, get dressed up, remember this is not really a formal activity so don't over do things. The Idea is to get her used to the kilts, and at the highland games where better to see men in kilts.
You never know your wife just might enjoy it
