Hello all!
I found your site when I was doing some research and thought I should introduce myself. The name is Malcolm Moseley Matheson (all family names). My dad is big in to our history and has passed it on to us. I'm getting married August 4th and we are having it pseudo-scottish themed. I, as well as all the scots in the wedding party will be in kilts as will any family in attendance. I've gotten my tartan in ribbon that we are decorating with, and we have having a piper play for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. I'm also giving sgian dubh's as my groomsmen gifts.
I would love to hear about anyone's experiences with a scottish wedding, any things I should consider doing or adding, or traditions that might be fun to follow.
Thanks all, great site!

Welcome aboard. One of our members (caradoc) recently did a scottish themed wedding. Although he travelled to Scotland to do it!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Welcome, It sounds like you've got the wedding on course for now. The groomsman gifts sound great. You might want to consider your clan plants for some of the floral arrangements. O'Neille
