They seem to do some pretty good work in the kilt department, but I recently ordered a tam from them which was advertised as "The Regimental Tam-O-Shanter" with a photo of a true highland issue tam, complete with badge backer and KOSB badge. I ordered it to come with a Hunting Robertson backer (for obvious reasons). I wanted to try a few different things with the badge.
What I got was more like an inexpensively made balmoral without grosgrain headband and with no ribbons at the back. It looks nothing like a regimental tam--color and style are all wrong--although it's an OK item. The real kicker was that the tartan backer was sewn on the wrong place. I don't know who made that booboo, but it's unwearable until I can pick the threads and resew.
But my biggest complaint is the failure to deliver what is advertised. It's a tam, and it's manufacture is fine, but it's not a regimental tam-o-shanter. I own several, and I know what they look like.
