A favor.
I was originally told I could wear a kilt to my cousin's wedding in a few weeks. Now I have been informed that I am to wear pants because 'it is a formal event'. Would you guys mind posting some pictures so I can prove to my mom that kilts are quite appropriate for a wedding?

Yeah... I'll show her tomorrow. I'm a bit angry over this right now... She can be such a hypocrite...

hey, man, hypocrisy is a part of the human condition. We all do it (even me). Try and explain to your mom and remember, honey catches more flies than vinegar. Luck!

Seems to me that people raise these types of objections because they either think that your kilted presence is going to be an embarassment to them (not you...them) or they think that you're doing it to attract attention to yourself. In the case of the former, it's your business not theirs. In the case of the latter, would someone please inform these folks that we just know that we look good in the kilts and we enjoy wearing them and that there's no hidden agenda involved.
Best

P1M's picture of several kilted gentlemen at a wedding is by far one of my favourites. It shows not only that kilts belong at a wedding, but just how well different dress styles fit in. Do as others have suggested. Just be polite and show that it looks more than classy enough to fit the situation.
