    Puget sound kilties look out

Well it looks like the school district I work for has decided to do away with their 20 early retirement plan,(I’ve got eighteen years) and I won’t need it if I have to wait until I have 25 years.
We’ve wanted to leave this area and since my youngest son is almost out of college, we’re putting the house on the market and heading out of Utah to somewhere that Adulthood is legal.

My wife and I have always liked the Pacific Northwest and are looking at moving to the Port Townsend area/Port Angeles area of Washington State. Hopefully I will be up there by mid summer. My two sons really like Portland and think that’s where we should relocate, but my wife and I really like the idea of being on the coast again (used to live on Kodiak Island).

So is there room up there for another Kiltie?

Any advice on things I should concerned about, suggestions, and opinions are welcome.

I really loved Eugene, OR when I lived there, but it's about a 4 hour drive away from the coast.
Florence, OR is also a really beautiful place.

Other than the fact that you will be closer to some top notch kiltmakers and some great Celitic fests, no problems.

Port Angeles is a great retirement area and in the rain shadow of the Olympics which means much less rain but still very green. Seattle & Victoria BC are a mere ferry ride away.
