Sadly, 'twas the coldest water and the gentlest cycle that shunk up my WOOL hose. Just don't wanna risk the Lewis hose.
Once kilt hose are out of their little cardboard sleeve there's no way for me to remember the manufacturer...don't know if one is more likely than another brand to shrink. Doesn't seem so.
Just know when I hand wash them they stay long and loose like I need them for my chubby calves. So I do.
There is something spiritually grounding about washing out kilt hose...so it makes a good quiet time for me at the end of the day. Usually space it out...let them soak in Woolite while I do other things. Come back and rinse them and let them soak in clear water while I putter about. Then come back for the final rinse and hang dry.
Everything I do is manly....
