GREAT photos - and a super way to solve the problem. Congratulations!
You wear them all well (including the youngster)!

Who did you order the belt from (email or website?)? I have a bunch of buckles that only fit smaller belts as well?

Looks good, I am using a tool belt from Canadian Tire. I picked it up for about $20.00
Here it is:

As you can see it tapers as well, however I have had to tell people that it's not a weight belt.

I'd say the main consideration on how extreme of a trim to try would be cosmetics. So whatever looks good to you. We can always put a shorter keeper on the belt to hold the loose end snuggly rather than have a 1" wide end wiggling around in a 3" wide keeper.
Drop me a note and we can talk in more detail when you're ready.
Cool, Cavscout, I'll let you know when I'm ready.
What I had in mind though was not mod'ing an existing belt of mine, but cutting a new belt from you down to size right from the start.
Either way, I'll send you a pm when I have the time and cash.
thanks

Sorry for the lapse in responding...
Send me a PM and I'll pass his e-mail address on to you. I encouraged him to check out X-Marks because there were likely some customers to be found here, but he said he didn't really like computers, and so wasn't interested. He supplies Buckles of Estes, who put me in touch with him. He was really great to work with, and again, I love my belt!

Thanks! I found it here, where they seem not to list it anymore... I recall it came in red (like mine), or plain silver. I think it was Freelander Sporrano who mentioned the site in another thread (thanks again!).
