Well lets see... loose your house or loose your soul? Hmmm... Well if you sell your soul and end up in the fire at least you will be comfortable in your kilts. I am sure that you could get a good breeze in hell.
As far as finding a cheap kilt, there are alot of those out there but I would go for the quality rather than the cost. If you have to save up for one it will be a little more special to you and will last until you grow out of it. And I mean growing sideways, not like a fad. I would recomend you finding a good kiltmaker and having it done right. While it doesn't have to be from Scotland it should be handmade the old fashioned way. If you need to check the other forums here for the kiltmakers who can help.

Credit card is the way to go if you're smart about paying it off in 2 or 3 payments.

If that's too much of a squeeker... maybe it's time to get rid of some of the other debts first. There are more important issues in life than kilts... well, for some folks.

not 18 so i cant get a credit card for myself plus I would preferably not become a revolver for credit card companies. Ill see if I can work something out with the local place first and if not then ill find someone else for the job.

Don't forget the folks at Starrynight Records on Ebay. I see that they have their 80% wool/ 20% poly on sale for $40. I bought one earlier and had the seamstress hem it up and put Highland Express straps on it as the original straps are less than desireable. Quite the bagain at less than $90 total.

I have 4 kilts. 2 UK's, 1 Stillwater, 1 NeoKilt.
The UK's are great casuals.
The Stillwater is 13 oz wool and is well made. (I wish I would have gotten it 1 size smaller)
The NeoKilt is in Poly Viscose. It's a cross between a traditional and casual.

Of the 4 I'd give the NeoKilt the nod.

If I were you, I would save until I have the money to buy your wool kilt, then you dont have to worry about payments. I am sure you would love your kilt all the more as you have saved hard to get it
