What is the difference between an English and a French bulldog?

The difference is mainly that they were bred down from the English in the mid 1800's but developed some breed characteristics like a flat skull and the Bat shaped ears instead of the rose ear like an English. She weighs only 20 pounds, and max weight for the breed is 28. Good for me, because I live in a community that requires me to clean up after her. I can promise you she has all the stubborness and attitude of a Bulldog. I had 2, but had to put Bubba down a bit over a year ago. Depsite their looks, they are a fairly athletic breed, she can catch a frisbee and my other dog loved the water (shallow).

In new hampshire we have three cats, a chihuahua, and a shetland sheepdog( we use to have a border collie but unfortunately he had a lethal reaction to a vaccine and I also use to have a calico who I got at the age of five)
and here in NJ we have a ferrte which will be my living sporran for now.
