Bit of an update, and a test.

The labour talks broke down again yesterday, with the city walking away from the table. We're still working to rule, but that will be of great benefit to me. It means that no-one is working overtime, but we can still work for cash. IE, I can pay a driver who has a day off to work for me that day.

What does this all mean? Las Vegas, here we come! We will be arriving sometime in the afternoon on Friday, the 20th, and we're staying until at least the following Thursday. WOOHOO!! We can't wait!


As for the test...I'm posting from my new (used) laptop using a wireless connection. Been fighting to get it to connect for 3 days! I think it's finally working.

Don't worry Ron, when Karen and I "gamble", we stick to the nickel slots and limit ourselves to $10/day. We'd rather spend our time looking at the various sights than sitting in front of a table or slot machine.

I generally just get a wad of cash, go up to the casino door, open it - then throw it all into the casino - Saves both Me and the Casino a lot of time

Cool stuff, Rob! We'll be heading down I-15 on the Thursday. I hope to make it at least as far as Salt Lake City before we stop for the night.

I'll have the laptop with me so I'll be able to keep in touch.

It depends on finances, but there is a good chance I'll be competing at the Games this year. Unfortunately it will have to be a turn around trip. Leave at Oh-Dark-Thirty (from Orange County, Ca) get to the Games, compete, then turn around for home.

I'll know the week ahead if I will make it, if so maybe I'll see you there for a bit.
