Ron, I appreciate your understanding. We are also working a brown heavy canvas version with leather trim.
I thought you saw this picture I posted earlier, of a distressed leather version:

Wow!! I missed this too. I'm on my second Nightstalker and looking for the design in something more durable. I've found that the semi-rigid foam backing inside tends to fold over at the strap attachment point. Granted, I'm wearing it with contemporary low-cut kilts so by belt buckle pushes against it. I'm definitely interested in the canvas or leather (waiting with baited breath....)

Oh man, that is exactly the brown sporran I have been looking for. I missed that picture too. I remember seeing a picture of a black one a while back, but I missed the brown one. I have one of the nylon cargo ones, Im wearing it at the moment actually, but I would wear it so much more often if it was in leather. The brown one is great, if you get brown kilt belts to match that would be just awesome.

Hey Chef,
I am HOOKED on Jerry's design. If he's a copywrite or patent on it that's fine by me. That's why I included the (?) in the initial post.
Had/have no desire to go against that. Just grateful for the design and hoping there'll soon be brown and black leather versions of it AND a ballistic version in brown.
I'm guessing most of us who've ever worn it have fallen in love with it.
I have other sporrans, and just ordered that one that you drop the nail like thingie into to keep it closed from Scotland. But for day to day wear nothing beats the layout and convenience of Jerry's design.
Waiting as patiently as an addict can for what I want and need...right now please!
