    Well, that's unpleasant.

The last few days have been a little chilly, but mostly nice. Nearly all the snow had melted at any rate. Unusual for early April, but we've had a mild winter.

Well, winter has reasserted itself with a vengence.

We've had really high winds all day (and I think it's getting worse), falling snow, blowing snow, and low visibility.

I don't mind the snow, I just wish the wind would settle down.

It's expected here in the south, too. The daytime highs have been in the 70's and 80's this week and we're supposed to drop back into the 20's tonight.

Now I know that's not what you're dealing with, but it is a big shock to one's system.

I heard on the weather channel that a good (or bad, depending on your viewpoint) 12" is coming your way. It's a lovely 70 degrees and sunny here in Roswell as I sit in the Embassy Suites drinking House of Stuart Scotch, which is the very best whisky (guess why), watching my kids swim in the pool and sewing on a sporran.

I do miss the snow, though. But not having to shovel.

Today the temperature hit 70 degrees fahrenheit here in Scotland for the first time this year and there were butterflies, bees and ladybirds out and about in the garden.

85 F, and 13% humidity today. Overnight low around 65. I think I'll have that Scotch now. O'Neille

Isn't that a normal spring for da yoopers?

I recall an August many years ago, My brother was at KI Saywer AFB and I was in Minneapolis and decided to go visit.

I left at 85F wearing a tank-top and shorts. I got to 45F and froze my butt off.

Of course I woke up this morning with a -5 degree windchill, so who am I to talk . . .
