Do you have room in your backpack for a fat old man with bad knees? I have done portions of all three trails, never more than a 2-3 hike and would love to do what your about to! Enjoy your trip and may all of the roots and rocks fall away from your steps!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Andrew, glad to hear you'll be hitting the trail again this year. I didn't know if you'd take a year off or not. We'll be needing to plan a kilt night before you go. I've been thinking about sampling some of the single malts at the bar at the Eliot hotel downtown. Sound like something you might be interested in?

I'm pretty damn impressed that you're going for the triple crown.
Good luck and a safe trip.

I wish I was joining you for this walk... but, I got a job, a mortgage, other obligations, etc... plus the final segment of my own ocean-to-ocean bicycle ride later this year. Good luck, have fun, be safe!

What type of kilt do you where for such a hike? Good luck on your endeavour!

Keep us posted of where you are. There are a few kilties here in Colorado that might join you along part of the trail or at least visit when you're in the area.
