Sounds like Molly Malone's is the place then.

I popped in there for a little while on St. Patty's Day... VERY BUSY! I'm not certain if it was just because of the holiday or because they're always packed, though.

Regardless... it was a great place. We shall have to try to get a table close to the front to catch the live music. I'm not against being at the bar, though.

As for the Celtic Crossing... I love that store. I have 2 kilt pins from there. I've been in there while kilted several times. I wonder how bonnie my knees are?

Still not sure I can make it, but I've downed a few pints over at Molly Malone's. Good vibe and good food. If I don't make it there, enjoy.

Even though I was a proponent for this... I won't be able to make it, either. Even after asking that I NOT have to pull 24 hours that day... I have to pull 24 hours that day.

Too bad that the numbers are so small. My kids and I will still go. Didn't hear back from Andrew but I think everything is all set anyway. I'll check email early tomorrow morning and give an update (work email that is). If it's only a few of us, we might pub crawl. There are lots of fun places in Portsmouth. We'll be at Molly Malones about 8PM.

    Best.

Sorry to report that I, too won't be in attendance. I'm afraid my wallet is a bit thin these days. Not that I couldn't afford a few drinks and a meal, but driving home later wouldn't be a good idea, and hotels aren't cheap. I have been investigating Portsmouth via the net, and want to get up there for a kilt night someday. Looks like a fun town. Have fun.

For any who might still join us.

Received confirmation from Molly Malones. Here's what the owner sent:

"we have the posters up and the discount is 2.95 pints for those who dressed in plaid or kilt. c ya friday"

Woo hoo. Find the address on the link in an earlier post on this thread.

I'll be wearing the XMTS pin on my kilt (kind of like a red carnation so we can find each other). There about 8PM. Best.
