More on the Australian Tartan

Thanks for your input Steve, but the good news is that I found that All Things Tartan can get the tartan and can make a hand sewn 8 yarder in this tartan for $AU/CA595.00, that is very reasonable.

Might get one for my birthday next June!

I think you'll be pleased with Doug/Karens work, they did my Buchanan.

Thank Matt, yes, I understand that. For example you kow I really fancy the Columba tartan, but that is a rare one and therefore very costly.

While the Aussie one is new, still, hopefully before long it should not be considered rare, at least in Australia.
OTOH, the 'other' Australian tartan is very hard to get, near impossible.

I'll believe that, he does a lot of miles to promote his business, we see him about3-4 times every year and we're not in his home state either.

Just a thought, try All Things Tartan in Ipswich Qld if you haven't already done so. They do an 8yd 13oz for around $600au, & know their stuff. (They make kilts for the army). Just realised that you've already found Doug's work.
