Houston Kilt Night 4-1
About 4 pm on Sunday, April 1st, I managed to get over to Goose Acres in the Woodlands just north of Houston. There I met Zardoz, his lovely wife and a friend of theres. A while later James73 showed up.
I had to take a shuttle from my hotel to the nearby mall. They dropped me off on the far side of the mall. As I was walking thru, a guy at one of the booths asked "Are you from Scotland?" I turned, smiled and replied, "No, Colorado" For some strange reason, he looked very confused. There were several smiles from the ladies as I walked thru and down the street to Goose Acres. As I approached one of the bars on the way, one of a group of about 5 women looked, turned to her friends and said something. They all stood up and left, timing it to walk out as I was passing. They smiled and talked with me a little as we headed up the street but never said anything about the kilt.
Here we are, Zardoz, James73 and Livingston
and here are Mrs Z on the right and their friend.
For some reason (I think he was afraid his Army kilt would be heading north ) Kid Cossack didn't make it. We managed to stick around there for HOURS waiting for him.

Aye and I was looking forward to it as well, me hearties! Alas and alack, the babysitter called and said she couldn't make it. Ten minutes later, she called back and said it was April Fool's on us, because she could! Then her boss called and said she had to work that night, so she called back AGAIN and said it was no dice. I almost called the shawarma place she works at to check . . .
