Well Rabble, Its official!!! Barb Tewksbury has just booked her flights to Victoria for Kilt Kamp 2007.
Now all we need is the official Okey-Dokey from Immigration Canada that says Barb is legal to come up.

Pending the notification I thought it would be wise to let you know the prices and additional information for Kamp.

This will allow you to do whatever planning you need to do so that when the paperwork comes through everyone is ready.

The cost of Barb’s course will be $250.00. I will take no profit from Barbs work. The cost will be to re-pay Barb for her travel and expenses only.
If you wish to attend but don’t wish to take Barbs course and just learn about Casual and Contemporary Kilts the cost will be $50.00 to cover the band for Kilt Night.

Barb requests that you bring the following things for your kilt.

    1) 5 – 8 yards of Wool Tartan of your choice.
(If you need me to order your Tartan please contact me as soon as possible.)
    2) ¾ yard to 1 yard of hair canvas.
    3) 1 yard cotton lining material.
    4) High quality 100% polyester thread in colors matching your Tartan.
    5) 2 or 3 buckles and straps for your kilt.
(I will have both black and brown buckles & straps available in the shop.)
    6) A tailor’s thimble with an open top.
    7) A Copy of “The Art of Kiltmaking” by Barb Tewksbury
    (Available through http://www.celticdragonpress.com)

All other supplies you will need will be available at the shop.

If you would like to attend this event I am including some information of general interest

If you can find a cheap flight to Seattle’s SeaTac airport (SEA) you can catch a limo downtown and continue on to Victoria via the Victoria Clipper.
These are HydroJet catamarans that make regular scheduled runs between Seattle and Victoria.

Please remember, If you are attending from the U.S. you WILL need a passport to get back across the border.
