New kilt to sport kilts, yeah!
I just joined US Coast Guard Auxiliary, I'm serving as a chaplain, although there is not official position there, I'm also just helping out where needed. That's besides the point. I was informed my sports kilt that they will come out with the USCG tartan! (oh the glory of another kilt)

Boy, I'm amazed that the CGA's chaplain position is voluntary. Good on you for stepping up kilted.
Living at Lake Powell and the Colorado River I fear you will be called to far too many sad drownings. Do take care of yourself, its a tough row to hoe.
I have the highest respect for the Coast Guard Auxillary, my little brother served with them in San Diego after he got out of the USMC. They turned up en masse to his funeral.
And...hey, I thought the tartan looked a tad Fraser like.
And check out Alexis Malcolm's webpage http://www.alexismalcolmkilts.bigste...generic35.html for a CG kilt pin to go with the new kilt.

It's actually based on the Hamilton tartan, Rocky, in honour of Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury, who organized the precursor to the Coast Guard, The Revenue Cutter Service, in 1789:
