    Thanks guys. Have worn the Cameron red and black with both black and khaki...but not mixed with red kilt hose....nearly wore the black shirt instead but opted for a 'lighter' look today.

    Do plan to try them with my new loud MacLeod too...and some with the bit of red as Matt suggested.

    Overall, think it worked out better than I'd thought it would.

    Hey Ron,

    I have a pair of RED hose made from our "hand knit hose" manufacturer in Scotland. I agree with Matt to a degree... It looks great with tartans that have a little red and really brings out the red. However, I can wear them with Scott Red Muted (mostly red) and feel just as comfortable that I match since the reds are dead on.

    I agree with others that unless you're wearing a VERY dark kilt with very little or no red in it, THEN you can wear a red shirt. In the outfit you're wearing, I'd either go with a Black shirt (for formal occasions) with those hose or a tan shirt.
