This is great news. Thank you chaplin Harris for posting it. I was considering joining the USCG Auxillary so that I could join the USCG Pipe Band membership so that I could get a kilt from Alexis Malcolm, who is the official maker of the USCG Pipe Band kilts.
A Sport Kilt would of course not be in the same league as an Alexis Malcolm, but it would be several (hundred) dollars less. I'm going to look into this. The USCG is such a great organization. Even though one may wear just about any tartan one wishes, I like to get something assosiated with something I like or care about.
