Nay blue, khaki as mentioned, anything subdued. Pink with an alligator on the pocket should be avoided at all costs

Tank colours do look good with the Black Watch. I've found that a light blue and a muted red can work really well, too.

What abut an old khaki tunic converted to an Argyle jacket? Or would that be too much?

I like navy blue with Black Watch. I think green would look good too, as would gray. I'm planning to wear my Black Watch with a marroon shirt I have, but I'd like to pair it with either marroon hose, or with black/green/gray hose with marroon flashes. I currently don't own any marroon hose or flashes however. Anyway, I don't know what I'm talking about. Wear what you like.

Rugby shirts of any sort go well with a kilt. In the USA, Barbarian wear makes all sorts of rugby shirts with a wide scheme of colors and the prices are not horrendous.

Dread is Right Khaki looks great with the black watch .
It can have a bit of a military look. But that is one of the reasons i like it...

wouldn't Navy Blue conflict with the Black of the Tartan?
I'm thinking of a Faded denim Shirt, (known around here as the "Kenora Dinner Jacket")
or White, to match the substitute Hose/Socks I will be wearing with my Black Watch Kilt.
I'll be glad when it warms up a bit around here!
just too cold to be walking around outside for me.
the cold bothers me really bad since my crash.
