Stewart, I suggest you do a search on Scottish Store on this site and you will find innumerable threads regarding the experiences of others. As Cavscout stated, it is YOU sir that needs to check facts before letting fly with a diatribe such as the above. If ownership has changed we would hope that quality and service have changed as well. You would be well warned to heed any advice given in this matter as this group will not tolerate abuse of members at any time.

"And surely one of the best rules in conversation is, never to say a thing which any of the company can reasonably wish we had rather left unsaid; nor can there anything be well more contrary to the ends for which people meet together, than to part unsatisfied with each other or themselves."--Jonathan Swift--

I am sure once again we are being confused with as Hamish quoted when he called it " the notorious gold Bros.". We are not them and we retail kilts that are HAND-STITCHED AND NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH WHAT "OTHERS" ARE CALLING "HANDMADE" ......please be sure to ask when buying your kilts. We have been informed and confirmed that there are kilts in Edinburgh being offered as "handmade" and this means that those kilts are being picked up "by hand" and placed under the sewing machine. They are not hand-stitched using the traditional Scottish techniques.
