Browsing in a local antique shop yesterday I ran across this nifty little bottle opener. For $1.25 I couldn't resist. When I got it home I discovered that there was a cork screw hidden in the handle! A block of walnut, a 5/16" hole, a bit of carving to produce a thistle head, some black stain and Danish oil, and here it is! The screw snugs up perfectly in the handle. I love gadgets!
