Left Handed Question!!

Im both handed drink eat smoke all with left.Right hand never even touches keyboard when i type just the left hand.About the only thing that i ever use right hand for is writing although can use left for that to but it isnt as neat.Always been called right handed but now that i think of it im more left handed than right.

In high wind situations, like the ren faire I was at today, I use my right hand to hold down my apron, and can still hold/control my mug/flask/etc. in my left hand.

Another Southpaw here. I was always curious because my wife was reading one of those "History of the Wedding" type books. In medieval times a knights wedding was memorable. The right handed soldier would wear his sword on the right side to keep the weapon away from his bride. It was worn to ward off anyone who thought of stealing the bride away. But how many right handers can draw a sword from their right side? That was the books commentary anyways.

I wore my sword on my right side for the wedding, but being left handed I would no problem drawing my weapon to ward off bride stealers.

Thats called a "Roman draw", and as the name implies it was the standard way the Roman Legionaire wore and drew his sword. You grasp the hilt with your right hand, thumb down, and draw straight up. This has the advantage of completing the draw in a mostly vertical plane, which is necessary when packed in closed ranks.
The cross body draw requires much more room, and would interfere with the person to your front and your left if in formation, as well as interfering with your shield work.
Of course, it works best with relatively short swords like the gladius, but even a European small sword would work just fine.

I'm right-handed mostly, but I have some ambidexterousness because my father is left-handed. For instance, I've always preferred holding my phone in my left hand, like dad. Also, I prefer a soldering station to be on the left, even though I use it in my right hand. It makes me a lot more careful of the hot tip.

An interesting thing about using phones isn't just limited to the hand but also to the ear. Although I can hold a phone in either hand I still hold it against my left ear as the sound is better than it is in the right ear - is this unusual?

I'm a lefty but Mom and Dad weren't. Same goes for my siblings. No lefties.

My ex and my current Significant Other along with both of my daughters are righties with no left-handed tendencies.

My 2 grandsons by my oldest daughter are both lefties! Weird, huh?

I'm right-handed and typically hold the phone to my left ear as it's better than my right but also if I'm taking messages I writing hand is free.

There is no tartans for lefties as far as I know, But there are left handed kilts that buckle on the left hip. Just call Rocky I'm sure that he can fix you up!
