I am hoping to make it.
I won't have my Wallace kilt finished yet, though.
A LOT depends upon this weekend's weather.
I am hoping that Anna and the kids will be able to attend too.

THAT is the X Marks gathering.
IF your an X Marker
IF your at the games in question
YOU ARE INVITED and EXPECTED to be at the planned gathering time and place (hopefully at the same time, as that is when and where the rest will be).
If I'm there, I'll be there!!! AND, I'd expect to meet you there!!!

I was kind of joking. I knew everyone was welcome, but thanks.
I'll be getting into town Friday afternoon, staying up in Cornelius. Is anyone going to be around the area and care for an impromptu kilt night?

I'll be there Saturday evening through Sunday evening staying at the Fairfield in that general vicinity. There is a great celtic pub up there (exit 28, I believe) that is a great meeting place. We met there last year - it's in a shopping center next to the Residence Inn. We had dinner there last year. Great fish-n-(real)chips with malt vinegar. I'll see if I can get more info for you if you're interested.
furrycelt, I look forward to meeting you, and it looks like you might be the only one staying through to Sunday.

My wife called me and I mentioned the games were THIS weekend and was reminded that THIS weekend is the Laurens music and art festival on the square. As she is a music teacher and her kids are performing, she CAN'T miss. I also had already promised to help and she is counting on me. I guess I'll have to wait (again-> happens to Loch Norman EVERY YEAR) till the next one in region.
Oh well . . .
I guess I'll just have to console myself at the Walter Mitty Historic Races at Road Atlanta next weekend. I'll be kilted, surrounded by hundreds of old race cars. Oh, the sacrifices . . .
Have a toast for me, boys!
