I guess that those of us in Chicago will just have to stick to Mountain Dew: Code Red.

I can remember when Irn Bru was only available in Scotland, must have been a shortage of girders!
I must confess I haven't noticed it in McDonalds in Scotland.
I like it but prefer root beer which McDs dropped in the UK

Thanks for the kind words about Canada PD.
I was just at the tartan shop, and saw they had Irn Bru, I had to pick up some, definitely different, but I like it.
The tartan shop is becoming a dangerous place for me lately.

I just had Irn Bru for the first time last week. Tastes like a cross between Cream Soda and bubblegum. Interesting, but not my favorite.

MacHummel and I slurped back a few bottles at the Owen Sound Celtic festival last fall. Nice drink when it's cold and the weathers hot. Like the touch of sugar and caffeine to keep to spirits high after a long day at a festival. When well with a few haggis on a kaiser. Can't wait for festival season again.

I've seen Irn-Bru and Tizer in and around Burlington. Just about any British shop, fish 'n' chip place or Scottish bakery around here seems to have it. What I miss is the Cornish Pasties and pork pies form Marks & Sparks (Spenser) after hey closed up shop(s) here in Canada.

I love the stuff. It's kind of like Lucozade (if you get that over there). It has got so commercial over here that you can pick it up in supermarkets. Unfortunately now it's being bottled here in plastic, & I think the imported tastes better in the glass. Almost every highland games my friends end up with sunstroke, while I never do. I put it down to my balmoral & the ever-present bottle of Irn-Bru!

For those that are suffering 'the morning after the night before blues', Irn Bru is an excellent cure for what ails you. I've no idea what ingredient contributes the most, but kiss your hangover good-bye.
