And, no, the book isn't close to being done. I have to marry off a daughter first!! The cover photo is done now because the kilt on the cover is the one that my husband will wear to the wedding, and I had to photograph it partly constructed for the cover. So, now I can finish it and cross that off my to-do list for the wedding.

C'mon Barb, do you expect us to believe that you can't work, plan a wedding, make kilts and write / publish a book all at the same time??
I like the cover photo BTW.

Really nice picture.
That New Hampshire tartan is pretty good looking.
So many tartans, so little time.

Looking forward to the book.
That's the first I've seen of the NH tartan. Just another one to add to the list.

I too love the cover picture. I like the Shaker box as well. It adds a subtle hint of a kilt...something that is wrapped around and hitched (closed).
Kindly post some pictures of your husband kilt when you done. Many of us may want to add that tartan to our growing list of "must have" kilts
Cheers,

My dad made the little Shaker box. He is quite a craftsman.

Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Not for book collectors!! I already have a spot on my bookshelf for the second edition right beside the first one! (Not that it has been on my shelf very long, it lives with my sewing box )
Congratulations to you, your daughter and your family on the up coming nuptials. I hope it turns out to be a wonderful day for all!

That is one great looking kilt. I can only hope to get half as good as that kilt looks. What do you use for basting? I'm afraid the thread I used shrunk during pressing.
