typical American thing i guess,
it's even in your national anthem:
"the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air..."
it's an ode to war.
now the Canadian national anthem:
"Oh Canada, we stand on guard for thee.."
so basically while you Yanks go off to fight,
we'll watch your house while your gone. :soda:

Sorry to disagree, but our National Anthem is not an "ode to war" but of the perseverance through the battle.
And there is no need to turn this into a political/social commentary!

Sometimes Yanks sneak off to fight with Canucks! I think that happened during the War to End All Wars.

In both World Wars, actually: A number of Americans joined the RCAF, and during WWI, there was actually an "American Legion" that served with the CEF. In fact, glengarryhats.com actually sells a reproduction of their badge.
And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the 1st Special Service Force, aka "The Devil's Brigade", a joint US-Canadian special ops unit in WWII.
And of course, we both "stand on guard" through NORAD.
Cheers,
Todd

All I have to say about the recent posts on this thread is that we have the worlds longest undefended border, and that is something that as a Canadian I am proud of, and I am sure that there are alot of American's proud of that fact as well.
So lets not get into a big political debate here.

Dude, are you serious? I really don't make these things to sell. I like playing with the leather. It's too freakin' exspensive, and I am not good enough at it to try and market anything that I make. I've tried to do the things that the other guys do, and I just can't cut the mustard. I've had a few good ideas, interior compartments, changable flaps, things like that, that others MUCH better than I am at leathercraft have ran with and are doing good with. I wish that I could sell my ideas. If I could, I would definitly have several Fraser kilts, an Army kilt, and quite a few others. However, I did not trademark my ideas, and I'm probably not the first to try it, just the first to post my feeble creations. If you really want this sporran pm me.
